Alrighty so first map between these two will be Overpass followed by Train. Toy is supposedly standing in for Subroza here which is lel. Do I think Toy is better than Subroza? Meh, seem pretty even players, but I do think Subroza cheats so that’s that. Wondering if he is getting replaced permanently or not….not sure if Toy is the player that will guide CLG to glory however. Toy has already played two maps with CLG versus Selfless recently and he did shockingly bad so that’s that. CLG I just do not rate right now, I do believe they can take a map off OpTic since well NA CS and BO1 however OG really should be looking to claim this 2-0. OpTic is in really good form right now and we saw good performances from them at the most recent ESL New York LAN ,and while yes it was a recent LAN, it’s in New York so not much of jet lag and what not, should be all good. The thing about OpTic is they still do come acros as a rather unstable team that can beat the likes of SK and what not, however will struggle against the smaller NA teams like CLG and EchoFox at times, so you do have to be careful, especially in BO1’s like this. I just think that OG are just so much more powerful than CLG both as individuals and a team and should be taking this 2-0. Still high risk however so go 5%. 75-25 OG
5% OG here
My odds = 75-25 OG
My risk = High
My bet = 5% OG
My advice = 5% OG
My odds for this match: CLG 25:75 OpTic Gaming
This double header should go in favor of OpTic, not a safe match by any means since they just came back from ESL One New York, but CLG are nowhere near OpTic’s skill level and I’m pretty sure that we will see a quick 2-0 here, honestly I’d rather see train and cobblestone, but OpTic also showed how insane they are on overpass, they destroyed SK Gaming 16-3 and also wrecked Astralis, they improved a lot with tarik too, definitely #2 team in North America right now.
CLG also improved lately, not that I think they will upset here, I mean, there is a chance for sure but I don’t think it will happen given that CLG have no chance to qualify for the finals anymore, while OpTic definitely want to win their following matches, especially against weaker teams like CLG. So, CLG actually managed to beat few teams such as eUnited, compLexity and even won a couple of maps against Liquid and NRG, not to mention that extremely close double header against Cloud9, so it actually seems like CLG can play well from time to time.
Despite CLG having few decent games against stronger teams, I still feel like OpTic will take it quite easily on both maps, two small bets though, don’t feel like betting anything above that since they just came back from a big lan event.
My odds for this match: CLG 30:70 OpTic Gaming
If CLG had their full roster here then I might feel a bit of a hope they could steal a map, but having Toy standing in for subroza, will for sure weaken them. Toy is not a bad player, he has really high highs, but unfortunately, can have really low lows as well. He will either get 20+ or 5, and that is the main issue here coming up against a really strong OpTic side, who all have been hitting their shots. I do feel like if OpTic are still tired from LAN or not at the races, this could be a little tricky, but Overpass and Train are really strong maps for OpTic and I expect them to take both.
My odds for this match: CLG 35:65 OpTic Gaming
