TyLoo

We have finally seen TyLoo lose a match after many months of them having a win streak, beating nearly all the ‘relevant’ Asian teams in CSGO. Much like the Fnatic VS NiP rivalry in the early days of CSGO, TyLoo is rivaled by a team known as ‘CyberZen’. They were defeated on the 20th of December at the SLTV LAN China finals, losing 1-3 in the BO5 grand finals after putting up a big fight. They lost Cache, 13-16 and took Inferno into OT before losing that too 17-19 but then went on to win Mirage 16-12. The map that lost them the LAN was Overpass, and it came down to THREE overtimes before they gave the map up, final result 20-22.

Despite all of this though, it is still super impressive that TyLoo went all of these months undefeated and they are still a top Asian team.

TheMongolz

I wouldn’t class TheMongolz as the same level sort of team as TyLoo and CyberZen, but I do believe that they are a T2 Asian team, sort of like how Dignitas could potentially and occasionally upset T1 teams when they were in the peak of their old roster months ago.

They have beat the likes of Threats, MVPproject, Fountain of Fire, Braveorwarrior and PUZZLES just in December of 2015 – and that’s to name a few teams only.

History

There have been three matches on record where TyLoo and Mongolz have faced off, two of them being in November 2015 and one being in October. The two matches in November proved to be a thrashing for the Mongolz, as it looked like they had no chance at all against TyLoo, losing without picking up a map in both of the series’.

However, in the earlier match in October, Mongolz actually won that one 2-0 but Tyloo did put up a bit of a fight, going to three OT’s on the first map.

Final thoughts and advice

Do keep in mind that this is the first game of the year for both of the teams and we don’t know their ‘post holiday form’, but TyLoo are the stronger team here on paper. Is it possible for TheMongolz to pull off a win? Yes. Is it likely? No.

My odds for this match: Tyloo 85:15 Mongolz
