AGG vs. Epsilon at Hitbox Challenger Predictions

Wow, this is a very interesting matchup between two great tier 2 teams, AGG are the clear favorites obviously, they are way more experienced and stayed together for a very long time, different story with Epsilon who just recently signed disco doplan, freddieb and are currently trying xelos out. Epsilon already managed to show what they are capable of, two close series against SK Gaming, very close matches against better tier 2 teams such as PENTA, E-Frag, Space Soldiers and Torpedo – there results are very impressive for such a “new” team.

AGG are having problems with their consistency right now, they beat SK Gaming 2-0 and just one day later got upset by Team Empire, this is pretty bad and that’s not everything, AGG also lost to Fluffy Gangsters and ENCE recently, not even gonna say how badly they failed on the MLG Columbus qualifier…

AGG are still better than Epsilon and should be able to beat them despite their inconsistency, however I wouldn’t put too much stuff here as Epsilon could pull off an upset.

My odds for this match: AGG 63:37 Epsilon

Do not like betting on AGG as the favorites, they tend to disappoint, especially when a Hitbox Challenger Tournament is involved where the prize for 1st place is 3000$. This is a tricky one however I would favor AGG here, Epsilon are a decent side, they have loads of potential however I feel they have to find their ground in terms of consistency. AGG are in a similar boat, they can look really hot, really promising and then lose to Ence who have Natu as a standin for Allu, after crushing Ence in 2 BO3’s shortly before. This could just come down to who is really actually feeling it here and trying their best, I feel like Epsilon are in a stage right now where they just want to impress, no matter the tournament, while AGG have shown to not care at stages. As I said, AGG should be favored, Rallen is insane when on form however 65-35 in favor of AGG here.

3% AGG below 72%, otherwise 3% Epsilon

My odds = 65-35 AGG

My risk = High

My bet = 3% AGG if below 72%, otherwise 3% Epsilon

My advice = Same as my bet

My odds for this match: AGG 65:35 Epsilon

Option 2Bet Epsilon if odds 28% or less

Small (3%)

high risk

AGG for me are an over hyped inconsistent Polish side, and are not as good as some people may think they are. On top of that, if you actually analyse their results, they are not THAT impressive. They had a terrible performance against Ence the other day, and seem to step it up when they are fighting for a big prize, and fall short when they are not. I am not saying they throw, but they for sure don’t play as well. Epsilon are a side that suffer from good T sides, and honestly terrible CT ones. It amazes me how poor they play CT on about every map. It is a massive problem for them, and one they need to fix if they are to make it any where in this game. Xelos won’t be playing today, and mokEn will be, which for me is a downgrade. I still feel like Epsilon have a chance here, even if the odds are about right. I would purely play the odds, and if Epsilon are at around 35%, drop 3% on them, otherwise a LOW bet on AGG is the best.

My odds for this match: AGG 62:38 Epsilon
