2nd BO1 is going to be on Inferno. This used to be Astralis’s best map in the past but recently, they haven’t really played it that much as they realised that all tier1 teams are extremely strong on it, stronger than Astralis. I must say that since this year, Astralis seem a bit better on Inferno and it’s not like they ban it against tier1 teams nowadays. Their most recent match on Inferno was against Fnatic and well … there’s not much to say about that one as it’s Fnatic, before Fnatic they played against FaZe on Inferno and had an insane T half, 14-1 T half against FaZe, that’s hella impressive consindering FaZe’s CT side on this map. Overall it seems like Astralis do rely on their T side on this map, their CT side seems shaky at times.
nV recently have been performing extremely disappointing on this map. They lost to Fnatic which once again, isn’t a shame but the loss against Dignitas is the one that worries me. They lost 16-5 to Dignitas with only 4 rounds on their T half and that’s just extremely bad knowing nV. They did win the rematch against Dignitas on Inferno though, but that once again got way too close.
Overall a map where one team seems to be picking it up a bit more and the other team just looks extremely shaky on. We all know nV’s problems nowadays and I just think that Inferno favours Astralis a bit more. I honestly think that Train could be more close than this one, I don’t think that nV can hold Astralis’s impressive T side and knowing nV’s T side nowadays .. they will have a hard time getting rounds. Let’s go with a low bet on Astralis as it’s still a tier1 vs tier1 in a BO1.
