A list of recent matches this team has played, green indicates a win and red a loss. Blue is a draw/cancelled
This is probably the easiest match of the day, not that TSM is a bad team but they recently used cadiaN as a stand in for ELEAGUE since Twistzz wasn’t allowed to play, they also practiced with cadiaN before that event so didn’t have too much time to practice for ECS with Twistzz, another thing is that TSM got matched against one of the best teams in the world in their first match of the group so that’s pretty rough.
Astralis struggled against SK Gaming, CLG, NRG and NiP recently, Astralis still managed to win those matches so not that’s not an issue, but all those teams are arguably better than TSM, and also TSM lost every single match in ELEAGUE, they actually managed to take a map off of fnatic which is a great result, but cadiaN also had a huge impact on that map and he’s not playing for TSM anymore, other than that TSM also lost against FaZe and dignitas, played well in all those matches though.
So both teams are looking quite shaky, TSM improved a lot recently and they could upset some European teams, but I don’t think they are good enough to upset Astralis, especially in such an important league, pretty sure Astralis will take this one.
My odds for this match: Astralis 85:15 TSM
This is one that Astralis should take, however the fact that this is a BO1 is rather scary. You look at TSM’s recent form and you’d probably think to yourself ”Ooo ez 16:0 Astralis”, but that is not the case, not at all. While TSM has been losing most of their recent games, it has been vs really tough opposition, some on the level of Astralis and TSM has been doing really well too, getting a lot of rounds and even taking a map off Fnatic. Of course TSM should be losing this, probably will and are the worse off team, however Astralis have been shaky for some time now, dropping BO1’s like this recently so you can not be too confident. I do think that of course Astralis picked up Kjaerbye, and the more and more time they spend together the better the team will become, so gotta give it time. Kjaerbye has already shown glimpses of what he can do, so that’s definitely a plus. Overall won’t go largely in detail since this is pretty straight forward, I’d give this about a 80-20. I do not feel too safe and confident in Astralis here, however they should win.
7% Astralis under 87%, otherwise SKIP/ICB TSM
My odds = 80-20 Astralis
My risk = Medium
My bet = 7% Astralis under 87%, otherwise SKIP/ICB TSM
My advice = Same as my bet
My odds for this match: Astralis 80:20 TSM
Well, the chances for TSM to take this are really small, but then again they did show in the E-league they can at least make it close on most maps vs decent teams. Astralis showed some good and bad performances since they picked up kjaerbye and although I thoroughly expect them to take this game, we have seen sooo many BO1’s that don’t really make a lot of sense, and if astralis are off their game, TSM could surprise here. They have Twistz back which is great news for them as he is a really good player. I would have to heavily favour astralis here, but with these odds the only logical thing you can do really is ICB on TSM or SKIP.
My odds for this match: Astralis 75:25 TSM
