I don’t really like betting on matches with new mix teams, but Cloud9 fans did a great job skewing the odds and this is a great opportunity for a good underdog bet, Cloud9 signed Stewie2k recently as seangares decided to leave the team, I don’t like this change as Sean was the best in game leader in North America while Stewie2k is an unexperienced up and coming player, as far as I know n0thing is calling for them right now, it could work as n0thing is very experienced but they need a lot of time to get used to the new playstyle and roles.
Cloud9 struggled against JustMakeItFast yesterday, they were down like 12-8 and managed to come back, that’s pretty bad considering JMIF is a new mix of unknown players, that’s the only match they played with Stewie2k so far.
WinterFox improved a lot recently, they looked very solid against Enemy eSports yesterday and their team play was on point. WinterFox managed to take down a couple of decent North American teams recently, they pulled off an upset against Enemy eSports yesterday, destroyed vVv 16-1 and 16-3, traded a couple of matches against teams like Method, Denial and SPLYCE, 2-0’d SKDC and tied against SPLYCE. I believe the addition of desi changed a lot, he’s insane at holding sites by himself and also very experienced as he played on the top level for a very long time.
I would give WinterFox at least 35-40% chance to win this match, We’ve seen just a single match with Cloud9’s new lineup and they already struggled against a low team, WinterFox could easily upset them here.
My odds for this match: Cloud9 60:40 WinterFox
