Virtus.pro always perform very well on major and lan events in general, they also made it to the playoffs on every single major, however they were in a massive slump for the last couple of months and this is by far the biggest slump they’ve ever had, however Virtus.pro always did well against North American teams and rarely lost to any, especially on big lan events, they may not be in the best shape right now, but I still believe they are easily capable of beating any team, especially Liquid.
Liquid played only a couple of maps with this roster, in fact they only attended ECS Season 1 Finals and this major, the results are quite surprising already, Liquid managed to beat Gamers2 in a best of one and took a map off of them in the second series, Liquid also played a very close map against Luminosity and wrecked ENVYUS on train, they are very good but I’m affraid they may have some issues with their consistency and I don’t really feel like betting them.
I actaully think that Virtus.pro should have a slight edge due to their experience with majors and stuff, I think they will win here despite being in a slump, but then again, this match is still a coin flip and either team could take it.
My odds for this match: Liquid 45:55 VP
Skip this honestly. This is a really tricky one, and I am not sure if I am not feeling this match at all because I am a Liquid fan, or because it is genuinely quite bad for betting. Heck, you can argue that either team deserves to be favorites here, and honestly I can’t split it, but once again I can be biased as a Liquid fan. We saw Liquid start slow versus Envyus however then just switch a gear and completely demolish them, however it has to be said that Liquid did not do anything spectacular to win the series, no, Envy just didn’t play to their full potential I feel and made some really crucial mistakes…..cough Devil cough. Virtus pro were the same, started really slow and then just switched a switch and demolished Mouz, on the same map too, Train. I’ve no idea if this was just Envy and Mouz choking or what happened, and I am not even sure how to evaluate both teams from a simple BO1 since going into this there was a lot of uncertainty around these two players with VP slumping and new Liquid roster. Overall, won’t go on all day, just 50-50, skip this honestly. Enjoy the Liquid wrecking! Hopefully 😛

My odds for this match: Liquid 50:50 VP
Hard to call game again as Liquid have been looking really good, and VP have been pretty shaky for as long as I can remember. The first event we saw Liquid at, they had signs of being a good team, and you could tell they just needed more time together as a 5. They now have that and honestly completely destroyed Envy. VP looked good at the E-League until the last game against Envy, where they just folded and looked incredibly poor. At this event so far, they really started slow against mouz, but did better as the game went on, and you could see the confidence and the plow coming. The map for this game is a hard one to call, but I could see it being Cobble, which would be good for both sides. I do have a feeling Liquid will take this, but 55-45 at best for this and bet accordingly.
My odds for this match: Liquid 55:45 VP
