EnVyUs vs. FaZe at ESL Predictions

Conclusion

First match of the day between these two teams and we land ourselves on Inferno. Now historically Envyus has always had the upper hand over FaZe by quite a margin however right now I feel like that could easily turn heads. I am just straight up going to recommend skipping this, not a profitable decision to bet here at all in my opinion and let me explain why. FaZe all of a sudden flipped a page and are looking way different now. FaZe was slumping hard, really hard, not looking good at all, then one day woke up, ”hey, sucking this bad really sucks” and just flipped a switch, beating Fnatic, Flipsid3 and Dignitas then. I would not say FaZe are out of their slump yet as their victories can easily be explained, Fnatic seem to be missing Olof big time, Flispid3 just lost Bondik and Dig is well….Dig, never expect great things from them on a consistent basis. As for Envy they are a mess themselves in a slump, a bigger one you could say as they are expected more compared to FaZe. Envy are still Envy however, they have shown that they can have breaths of air and win matches and considering their H2H results vs FaZe, they are definitely looking scary here. Overall odds will be 50-50 or something on Lounge, and to me this is not worth it, at all. There is so many better matches tomorrow, this just screams of a skip. 55-45 Envy

This is an extremely risky match, inferno is FaZe’s best map and they always look great on it, same goes for ENVYUS as inferno was always their first pick even against teams like fnatic and Astralis, however their most recent matches on this map were quite bad, ENVYUS lost two matches recently, 2-16 against Na`Vi and 19-22 against mousesports, somehow managed to beat dignitas 16-12.

FaZe looked way better than ENVYUS recently, they beat dignitas, FlipSid3 and fnatic twice on inferno, lost a relatively close match against Astralis, FaZe also beat Virtus.pro 2-1 few days ago but they didn’t play inferno there.

The last encounter between ENVYUS and FaZe went 2-0 in favor of ENVYUS, however this time we have a best of one on FaZe’s best map and they should be slightly favored here, this match is still extremely risky but FaZe should be able to take this one.

First map between these two is Inferno. FaZe have looked strong on this map lately, but then again so have Envy. It is an interesting match up, as FaZe have looked the better lately, but have a poor record against the French side. As this is the first map between these two, and neither side has anything to play for really, I would honestly SKIP this one, as it could potentially create better odds for the second. If I had to pick one side here, I would purely play the odds, and go on the underdog, but there are far too many games today to bet on all of them, so SKIP for this one.
