FaZe vs. TStorm at IEM Predictions

Note: New predictions will have multiple recommendations and adapt to the odds coming through from lounge. For the best results, wait as late as possible to place your bet

Tough one to call here as I don’t really know the level of the FaZe boys at the time of writing this. The last time we saw them at a big event, they were terrible, and since then we have not seen enough to make a decision on them either way. They only recently took in Robban, so it remains to be seen how much work he has actually done with the boys and what shape they will be in during this tournament. I think a lot will come down to the map and how well the riflers of rain, jkaem and aizy are playing. If they can out rifle the Brazilians, then I don’t think it will even matter who wins out of hen1 and fox. As of right now, I would suggest LOW on FaZe, but I will adapt this prediction after I’ve had a chance to see how both sides are looking.

My odds for this match: FaZe 65:35 TStorm

  • Dust2: 50-50
  • Inferno: 55-45 FaZe
  • Mirage: 50-50
  • Cache: 55-45 FaZe
  • Train: 70-30 FaZe
  • Overpass: 70-30 FaZe
  • Cobblestone: 60-40 Tempo Storm

This could potentially be a really close match, the thing here is, I don’t know how Tempo Storm will play as of now. They will play in a BO1 against E-Frag earlier today and that game will pretty much show enough and decide the outcome of this one. FaZe are obviously the better team, more experience, better mappool, better aim, but it’s still Brazilians they play again. I feel like these two teams are playing the exact same way, no strats, just run and gun. Whoever aims best, wins this game. Like I said, FaZe does have the experience so that’s a nice advantage to have here. As of now, I suggest a low bet on FaZe but my pick could get edited depending on how Tempo Storm perform against E-Frag.

EDIT: I saw enough from TempoStorm against E-Frag, they’re still looking weak and I don’t think they can upset against FaZe here.

Medium (10%) on FaZe

My odds for this match: FaZe 70:30 TStorm

So once again like most of these, a tough match here in front of us. I keep repeating myself like a parrot, but honestly look at the standard Tempo are playing here before this match, as that can be quite the decider for this game. They have shown good things in NA, however when they attended MLG Columbis a week ago, they got completely bodied and if that is what they will bring to every LAN, they have no chance here. Also if Fallen is coaching the guys here then that is a huge bonus once again, something that should increase their odds too. FaZe we have not seen too much of recently, however going into this I feel like they should be the favorites here. I feel like this team has a whole bunch of potential, they have  a lot of skilled players however they just need to use them correctly and really work as a team here to improve. Their skill ceiling individually is over the roof, and should be able to take this, however be careful once again. 65-35 in favor of FaZe here, however once again, can’t stress it enough, make sure to see how Tempo is performing.

5% FaZe if under 72%, otherwise 2-3% Tempo here.

My odds = 65-35 FaZe

My risk = High

My bet = 5% FaZe if under 72%, otherwise 2-3% Tempo

My advice = Same as my bet

My odds for this match: FaZe 65:35 TStorm
