Honestly you could argue that CLG deserve to be favorites, they like to upset French teams, especially Envy. LAN BO1 too, CLG like these a whole bunch. Obviously G2 did a -Ex6tenz +Bodyy which I do not know how to react to, I mean Bodyy is quite a good fragger, was surprised it wasn’t him getting picked up by Envy ahead of Devil but it is what it is. I have a big love/hate relationship with G2, at times they can be so promising and show good results, at other times it is just so bad that you cringe. CLG has been bootcamping in Sweden for a week or so, so they should be prepared here, no jet lag excuses or anything like that. Once again a tricky BO1, pistols matter a bunch, and keep an eye on JDM, if he goes off and gets backup from his team, this can get very scary for G2, especially because Smithz likes to suck, a lot. 60-40 G2
3% G2 under 67%, otherwise 3% CLG
My odds = 60-40 G2
My risk = High
My bet = 3% G2 under 67%, otherwise 3% CLG
My advice = same as my bet
My odds for this match: G2 60:40 CLG
Risky on here. G2 only played 2 matches with this new line-up. One was against Gambit where they won 3-0 in a BO5, the new boy bodyy came up huge in this match. The other match was a loss against nV in OT on Inferno. -ex6tenz +bodyy is the best thing that ever happened to G2, IMO bodyy is better than DEVIL as well and nV kind of made a mistake there, G2 picked him up instead and I’m pretty sure that bodyy will be topfragging along with shox most of the time, he’s consistent and knows what he’s doing. A real French talent IMO.
CLG on the other hand are known for their BO1 upsets. Every single time they manage to do it in the early groups no matter who they face. This seems to become a standard thing for CLG. CLG have been practising a lot right after MLG to really be prepared for this lan and I’m sure they’re on point. Hopefully tarik will have the same form as he had at MLG, it makes CLG a lot stronger and with hazed, cutler and jdm fragging as well … CLG becomes scary.
A really close BO1, one team who always seem to get upset by lower tier teams in BO1 and the other team who always seems to upset any team in a BO1 on lan. Obviously G2 are A LOT stronger now with this addition but I just don’t think he’s been there long enough, he’s been playing with G2 for 2 days now and that’s … just not good. CLG can easily upset here when tarik and jdm both have a beast performance. I’m going with a low bet on CLG here as they’re the underdog (and I expect the to stay as underdogs).
My odds for this match: G2 55:45 CLG
Hard to call game here that could go either way. G2 of course with their new pick-up will be a little shaky as they are still finding their feet. CLG have been working hard as a team and have actually been improving overall as a team. I find this game incredibly hard to pick, and could see it ending up on Cobble or Overpass. In my head this is a 50-50 game as it largely comes down to who is hitting their shots, so going on the underdog seems the most logical decision. G2 are incredibly inconsistent, and I don’t really trust all their players to show up. CLG will need jdm, who mostly does, and tarik to have a big game, and if they can get a good map and side, they have a chance. 50-50, play the odds.
My odds for this match: G2 50:50 CLG
