The odds for this match are really weird, the new Liquid didn’t even play a single official match together so people have no idea how good they are, yet the odds are so close for some reason, seriously, Gamers2 is one of the best teams in the world and they are up against a new North American team, normally they would be highly favored but I guess people believe in what s1mple said that the new Liquid is insane.
Gamers2 struggled in few matches recently, lost against Gambit Gaming and NiP, also got demolished by mousesports on dust2, but overall they’ve been playing extremely well for a while and managed to win around 80% of the map since the start of ESL Pro League finals and that’s why I’m kind of confused with the current odds.
I’m really confident with Gamers2 here, the match may seem close due to the odds and stuff, but I don’t think that one of the best teams in the world would just possibly throw away their chance to win one of the biggest leagues in CS:GO by losing to a new team, Gamers2 should be able to win this match, I would be very surprised if they didn’t.
My odds for this match: Liquid 30:70 G2
G2 have shown some inconsistencies recently which most people thought they had gotten rid of, but apparently they have not. They looked pretty good during the E-League, and then were dominated by NiP. They then looked pretty shaky on their course for qualifying for ESL Cologne, before spanking C9 in the final. They will be coming up the new Liquid roster of course with s1mple as a stand-in and he really could be the difference here. I can see this being an incredibly close game, with the map being D2 or Cache. Both maps are good for both teams and this really is a 60-50/55-45 game. If G2 are not hitting their shots, I can see them struggling here. LOW on Liquid at under 45 for me.
My odds for this match: Liquid 45:55 G2
I mean……I don’t know lol. I am a huge Liquid fanboy and I think this roster is looking so god damn good, and if they keep their toxicity levels, aka S1mple and they step up, they can definitely take a map from G2. Everyone on this team can go off, and if they do, they can be really deadly, especially since once again it is a BO1. Now obviously G2 are the better team, ScreaM and Shox have been hitting unreal form the past two months or so and showing great results, however there has been a trend over these two months that when these two cool down, all of a sudden all of the good old G2 flaws reveal themselves again and they become more than vulnerable. This will be the first time we see this Liquid roster play together, they did of course bootcamp in Amsterdam however but meh, think they will kinda just wing this especially since after this event and the Major, Pimp will be playing instead of S1mple so that’s that. Overall, I will have my Liquid hopes up for this match, however would not recommend betting here. Getting the odds are tough, S1mple is a god who can 1v5 teams and eh, just nono for betting. G2 should win but yeah. 60-40 G2
My odds = 60-40 G2
My risk = High
My bet = Skip
My advice = Skip
