That’s a very interesting match, both teams were doing just fine lately, mousesports managed to qualify for the MLG Columbus Major, they basically had a guaranteed spot as their first opponent was a mix of YP’s and Lounge’s players and mousesports demolished them 16-1, they faced HellRaisers afterwards and I thought mousesports will wreck them too but they struggled and barely won the match in overtime. It seems like mousesports are better in online matches, they went 1-1 against Gamers2 and played two very close matches against NiP, mouz looked way better online.
Na`Vi are basically the opposite of mousesports, they are way better on lan events and tend to struggle in online matches, Na`Vi reached finals in four events since November, one of the events was a major where they lost to ENVYUS, now take a look at their online results, Na`Vi lost two maps against SK Gamig in the ESL ESEA Pro League, got beaten by NiP on mirage while being considered as the best mirage team in the world, and won a couple of matches against Astralis, Virtus.pro and NiP.
I have a very strong feeling that Na`Vi will take this match, but I’m not comfortable with their matches because their team relies on GuardiaN so much, Na`Vi will simply lose if GuardiaN starts whiffing most of his shots, luckily it doesn’t happen very often. I suggest a small bet on Na`Vi here, pretty sure they would beat mousesports on every map besides cache which they will definitely veto.
My odds for this match: mouz 35:65 Na’Vi
This one is tough. Obviously going into this Na’Vi are the favorites, however the last three times these two have faced, Mouz has won it from Na’Vi. The upset potential here is high, however will depend on if everybody on Mouz just steps up and it isn’t just Niko trying to drag his teams across the finish line, that will just not work. Both of these teams play twice before this game, so it really is a good idea to just sit down and grind out watching the LAN to see how teams are performing here. Don’t entirely place a bet depending on how teams are looking, however change around your odds a bit based on that. The plus side to this LAN for Na’Vi is that Guardian can not be ddosed, so he’ll play the entire match, been happening to him online even recently lately, no idea how it keeps happening, however yeah. Not to even mention that historically speaking Na’Vi perform quite well on LAN’s, they are that type of team that just kinda walks into the LAN, don’t have many eyes on them since most of the concentration is on your Fnatic’s, Envy’s, Astralis’s, etc however when those fail to perform, it’s usually Na’Vi making the semi’s or finals really quietly. All in all, 37-63 in favor of Na’Vi here.
My odds = 63-37 Na’Vi
My risk = High
My bet = Just play the odds here. 5% Na’Vi if under 70%, otherwise 2-3% Mouz here.
My advice = Same as my bet
My odds for this match: mouz 37:63 Na’Vi
Historically a scary match up. Mousesports have been able to beat Navi quite a few times. Infact, their most recent match ups all went in favour of Mousesports. One match was a BO3 for CEVO and another one was a BO1 for ESL on Mirage, Mousesports somehow seem to dominate against Navi on Mirage. A fact to understand; If Navi lose this BO1, then they will most likely be eliminated from this Tournament and that’s a thing no one would have seen coming as Navi are considered Top2 on LAN. It’s just that Navi historically have been shaky in BO1’s and definitely don’t like this format as they are slow starters. They lost against both Fnatic and LG, neither match was really close and all of the Navi players seem to be underperforming.
Mousesports on the other hand have won all matches so far. A comfortable win against NiP on Mirage and a comfortable win against the Mongolians on Dust2. Dust2 and Mirage are surely both Mousesports’s best maps so that’s a thing to keep in mind. Mousesports are on point, Navi are lacking. Mousesports don’t really need the win although they will be facing LG and Fnatic later on so that’s not much of a win either, basically both teams NEED this win if they want to have a chance. I personally still have to favour Navi here, when Guardian finally finds his form, he should be able to stomp Mousesports. I don’t think Navi will lose another match, they HAVE to win this one.
My odds for this match: mouz 40:60 Na’Vi
