Ahm this is a bit of a tricky one to call really. The problem here is that both of these teams are just so inconsistent at times, Penta have shown time after time after time that no matter what form they are, no matter what their roster is, they can always pull of an upset of some sorts lol and with Escape you can’t count them out as the core of the team always remains the same and it is a strong core. Right now however Escape I have no idea what they are doing, literally a player swap week after week after week, like jesus are you trying to find the Messi of CSGO in a weeks time? Like why are they changing players every week, what are they looking for? It’s becoming a joke at this point, if I see another god damn roster change by them, I will, I will, I will…..make a tweet about it! But jokes aside, no consistency, no stability, roles are mixed up and what not, that is just not a good sight, I’ve no idea how their recent results have even been improving lol. On the other side of things Penta have added Kairi, a fellow Spaniard to Lowel. Think he is one of the better Spanish betters, however would not say he is as good as Lowel or Mixwell from OpTic, but probably top 5 Spain. Think he is a good addition, not sure if as good as Tabsen however yeah, has shown that he can cope. Overall, I think that Penta should be favored here slightly as they have more stability and overall think at the moment they are the better roster if they show up here. These two did face off a month or so ago however and Escape took it 2-0, however a multiple of things came together to make that happen, like Tabsen having a really bad game, Maeve carrying so hard and what not, a bit of a fluke if you will. 60-40 Penta.
3% Penta under 67%, otherwise 3% Escape
My odds = 60-40 Penta
My risk = High
My bet = 3% Penta under 67%, otherwise 3% Escape
My advice = Same as my bet
My odds for this match: Penta 60:40 Escape
This a best of two and this format is the worst nightmare for the underdogs which is PENTA in this case, winning one map against the favorites is already something, winning 2-0 is extremely hard. PENTA went through many roster changes recently, I don’t even know if Kairi is their permanent fifth or just a stand in at this point, either way, PENTA is extremely inconsistent but have been doing better lately, they beat ANOX (ex-PiTER) quite easily, wrecked eSuba, took a map off of Orbit, barely beat K1CK.es, deadweight and lost to ENCE, decent results but nothing impressive.
Escape also have a new player, also not sure if he’s a permanent option but it’s Jumpy and he’s a great addition to the team, very experienced player and he’s easily on the same level as the other players. Escape struggled a bit against weaker teams recently, but also managed to get pretty impressive wins against stronger teams, 2-0 against Orbit is probably their best result in a while, they also 2-0’d CAZ, beat Epsilon, Gambit Gaming, and tied against Kinguin, Copenhagen Wolves and LDLC.
Escape definitely looked better than PENTA, these teams are still on the same level basically, but Escape’s chances to either win or tie are way higher than PENTA’s in my opinion, not like PENTA can’t upset them here, but I don’t think they will win 2-0 over Escape.
My odds for this match: Penta 35:65 Escape
Really hard to call game as both sides are inconsistent, like similar maps, have roster issues, have poor CT’s andddd yeah. That is about it. So you can see that calling the winner is a hard thing to do. The skill level is about the same too, with both sides having a few really strong players, and a few weaker ones. I do quite like the Penta roster with kairi, and their form recently has been good. You could also argue the form for Escape has been even more impressive. Taking a map off Kinguin, beating Orbit and Epsilon, and taking a map off CW. In my eyes I do favour Escape slightly for this game, but Penta do seem to look more impressive when they are the underdog.
My odds for this match: Penta 45:55 Escape
