Pretty interesting match, normally this would be a no-brainer on Virtus.pro as they’ve been playing pretty well on the recent events and Renegades is kind of a mix team without SPUNJ, he was their in game leader after all, Renegades had to make a lot of changes with the player roles after cutting SPUNJ, yam is the strat caller right now, while rickeh took the awp role, they basically had a fresh start.
So what makes me unsure is the fact that Renegades somehow managed to destroy FlipSid3 16-5 on two maps, and that was quite weird, however I feel like FlipSid3 were tilted for travelling literally every week or two so they just gave up on ELEAGUE, so that’s the only match Renegades played so far, Virtus.pro did better with few wins against teams like Gambit, Astralis, Liquid, mousesports and almost SK Gaming who won a lot of events in the recent time.
So Virtus.pro are looking way better but there is not much information about the new Renegades as they only played one match, it makes the match quite risky and I’m not that confident, however I’d still go with a medium bet on Virtus.pro, they are great on lan events and I believe they will win.
My odds for this match: Renegades 30:70 VP
Hard to call one as we don’t realllly know how good or bad the RNG side is at this moment in time. They had 1 game against FS, who honestly looked completely out of place, and took it easily. That is all we have to base it from. VP have been in a slump, but actually performing well, and getting far in tournaments, even if they have looked some what unconvincing along the way.
Looking at the maps, we have Cobble, Mirage, Train. Three good maps for VP, 2 good maps for RNG, and one they like to play, but are not the best on it. Cobble is for sure a map both are good on, and it is the map RNG have had perhaps their best wins on. VP are also good on it, but I don’t rate it as a crazy high map for them. Mirage is a map that heavily favours VP, and I can see them taking this map easily. The 3rd map, is one that is good for both. We all know how good VP are on Train, but the RNG boys like to play it as well.
Overall, 75-25 seems about right due to how the veto has gone, and under 25%, I will go reaaaallly low on RNG, even if I expect VP to take it.
My odds for this match: Renegades 25:75 VP
