Interesting BO3 that we find ourselves here actually. This is the semi-finals which means that both teams will be trying their hardest here. The problem with both of these teams is that they both play down or well, up to the level of their opposition which is ever so frustrating as neither is consistent and often gets upset or well, more happily get upsets. Flipsid3 has a major in a week, SK doesn’t, and I mean don’t think Flipsid3 necessarily have a lot to hide however they might be more concentrated on that rather than this, however they might also be extremely warmed up. SK has been all over the place recently, losing or even heavily struggling matches they should be winning and right now as I am writing this they drop a map to LDLCBlue, just not solid, convincing performances by SK, however they are that kind of a team. Both of these teams can be really bad form, and then just come out firing and upset teams. SK has the players to do well, they just don’t do it on a consistent level for some reason, maybe they are not working hard enough, I don’t know however they are just not there. They will need to step up here if they want to beat F3 in a BO3, and I know it is something they are capable of doing, just struggle to.
Flipsid3 has been on a bit of a tear recently, however don’t want to overestimate them. For me F3 is the most underrated tier 2 team, been yelling that for ages now. They have the players, experience and leadership behind them to do well, however once again their consistency is a worrying factor. They almost need and pray on Bondik and Worldedit being on form, if others can be chip in that is a bonus, however if that duo is off, things get sour very fast for Flipsid3. Like I mentioned, major for F3 in a week, so they will be warmed up for that individually at least, however unsure how much they will show. Obviously we saw F3 upset Mouz over two maps a few days ago, and that is something they are capable of, however other times they can get smashed by AGG or somebody worse, so your confidence in them really can not be too high here. They are my favorites here simply due to comparing both of the teams forms right now, F3 comes out on top and that pretty much gives them the edge here. Neither team is looking strong, so we are just going to give it a tight odd and play the odds with a low bet. For me this is a 55-45 in favor of F3.
3% F3 if under 60%, otherwise 3% SK
My odds = 55-45 F3
My risk = High
My bet = 3% F3 if under 60%< otherwise 3% SK
My advice = Same as my bet

SK are in a slump right now, but their record against FS is actually quite good. I feel they have a chance going into this game, and with FS going to the major they may have their eyes off the ball here, and not be as prepared or focused as they could be. SK will really want to win this game as they want to get their confidence back, and this could be a good game to get it back from. I do favour FS here, but with the odds being how they are now, as long as SK stays below 40%, I would suggest a LOW bet on them. This could be a really close game, and map veto will play a big role. SK are looking ‘OKAY’ against LDLC, and their loss on D2 should not be read into too much as they really are bad at that map.

A really close BO3 between two teams who have been looking extremely inconsistent. SK after not qualifying for MLG have been going downhill, they haven’t impressed me a single time and just seem to get weaker and weaker. They lost to AGG in the DreamHack Malmo qualifier as well so basically they won’t be attending to any of the upcoming lans which is really bad for a team like SK. They have to step it up.
FlipSid3 on the other hand have looked pretty good but just extremely inconsistent, they did manage to qualify for the major but not for DreamHack Malmo as they lost to Ancient, right after they lost to Ancient they had two BO1’s against Mousesports and they won them both which is really impressive as the maps were Overpass and Cobblestone, surely not Mousesports’s weakest maps.
Overall I would say FlipSid3 just look better, SK just seem to struggle against every single team, tier1, tier2, tier3, tier4, they all seem problematic for SK and that’s just not good. FlipSid3 might have kind of the same problem but overall they just look a bit better with WorldEdit and Bondik. Best thing to do here is to simply play the odds.
