NiP vs. Mongolz at IEM Predictions

Should by this stage be a NiP with 1 win vs a Mongolz with none, but even if both teams surprise the first games, and NiP are on a loss by here, they will for sure want to win this game regardless of either scenario. On top of that, as I said before NiP are not a side that loses games like this, their experience is so strong that they know how to play to close games like this one out. I could see this game being Cache again, and being a close one, but as things stand right now, purely going by what I know as I sit here right now, I would suggest going MED on NiP, as I cannot see them losing this game. I wouldn’t personally bet on this game until tomorrow however.

My odds for this match: NiP 70:30 Mongolz

Feels like a pretty straight forward game. NiP are a team who win against teams they shouldn’t lose to and Mongolz are one of those teams. NiP and Mongolz will have a match before this one so it will surely affect the odds. Again, NiP should win this BO1 as they are the better team, so we will be going medium on NiP once again.

NOTE: Analysis might be a bit short, sorry for that! Also, the picks I made can change as I don’t know how the earlier matches will end, so be aware!

Medium (10%) on NiP

My odds for this match: NiP 70:30 Mongolz

This Intel Extreme Masters is NiP’s first lan event with pyth and that’s quite scary, I don’t really know how good he does in offline matches, but I believe the last lan he played was FACEIT League Finals Stage 3 with WinterFox and he played really bad there, can’t really call him an onliner with such a small sample size, but he’s definitely not a great/consistent lan player.

Not much to say about the teams, everyone knows NiP and they have been doing pretty well so far, beat mousesports twice and traded maps against Na`Vi in EEPL, NiP was always kinda overhyped by people due to their performance in 2013-2014, but I still consider them as a top team and I’m sure they will do well in 2018.

MongolZ is probably the best team in Asia at the moment, recently won IEM Taipei where they destroyed Renegades in the finals, the teams playing in Taipei were pretty bad and I wouldn’t give MongolZ too much credit for winning the event, but at least they managed to beat one decent team. IEM Katowice doesn’t look that well for MongolZ though, I highly doubt they could beat any team in their group, almost sure they will finish on the last place with a 0-5 score and there is nothing more to say about that, at least they will get paid for qualifying.

NiP should have this game in the bag, MongolZ are definitely not capable of beating a top team yet.

My odds for this match: NiP 90:10 Mongolz
